urgen Klopp was delighted with his team, who created more chances than any other side this season in the Premier League.

He also reserved praise for two of his forwards and the link-up for the opening goal of the game.

“It was a special game, special night,” Klopp told Sky Sports.

“Mo [Salah] is a goalscoring machine. It would have helped if he scored the first penalty, to be honest – but it’s all fine.

“It was extremely special that Darwin [Nunez] had a couple of chances as well, but in this moment [for the opening goal], I would say 99.9 percent of players would have tried to finish the move off themselves but he passed the ball. That’s really special.”
